Hey everyone! Happy Friday to ya!! So today marks my one month anniversary and so far so good. This past month has gone by pretty quickly and I hope you’re digging this as much as I am. Welcome back to the Friday Goodie Wrap. Today I have even more fabulous stuff to share. So come one, come all and let’s check out more things that are dripping with awesome.
I’m filing this under art because quite simply it is. Jeff Bridges has been known to take pictures during production of the various films he’s working on. He’s got an incredible eye and his pictures are fantastic. While shooting True Grit, he snapped loads of pictures of various cast and crew members and put them into a digital photo book. I highly recommend checking it out. I really wish I could get this in a printed version, but alas, it’s only available on his website. (via JeffBridges.com)
Oh do I have some nifty things this week. Zombies and Soaps and Chopsticks oh my!
Zombie of Montclaire Moors: Ok, even I’ll admit that this is kind of freaky. I wouldn’t actually put one of these in my yard. Well I might just to see what kind of reaction I would get. What really trips me out is that fact that Sky Mall is selling this. Sky Mall…as in that catalog that you always find in the seat back pockets on airplanes. The other issue I have is that this thing is $90! Now maybe if it were on sale….(via SkyMall.com)
Geekery Collection of Soap: Yup, you read that right. Soap for geeks. In all different shapes and icons. Are you a Star Trek Fan? Well you’re in luck because they have a Borg Cube soap. Shaped like the Borg Cube. Star Wars fan? Well you can get your own Boba Fett soap. Dr. Who fan? Get clean with a Tardis soap. I have to say these are pretty groovy. I especially like the Decepticon soap. (LuxuryLaneSoap.com)
Lightsaber Chop Sticks: Now, how fun would it be, to be chowing on some Chinese food with a buddy using your Lightsaber chop sticks? You get into a disagreement, you get challenged to a duel and viola! Lightsaber fight!! Sadly these babies don’t light up or make the cool lightsaber sound. But they are still fun to look at. I can’t pinpoint a specific product on this page because they change the shirt every day. Each day a new shirt by different artists is posted and available for purchase for a limited time. There’s a countdown clock on the site that tells you how much longer that specific item will be made available. The artists that sell their work on here are pretty darn good. I’ve even purchased a couple. They make my inner geek super happy. So the picture I have on here is actually the shirt from today (Friday Febuarury 18th) but if you want it you better hurry, it won’t last long. (via TeeFury.com)
Yes, I went there with today’s video. I couldn’t help it. It’s so freaking cute! I saw this last week on another site called BadAss Digest. I promise to keep the cute kitty videos to an absolute minimum but just watch this one. It’s a kitten getting all crazy vicious with a toy in slow motion to really great music. I really really love the music. And did I say the kitty was cute? (via YouTube)
I mentioned last week that I may include a picture of one of my cakes. Well since it’s the one month anniversary of the site, I figured this would be a great time for it. This is a cake I made a couple of years ago for a friend. Everything on this cake is edible and yes, the boobs are totally cake. This wraps up another Goodie Bag. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
