Saturday Superhero Trailer Wrap

Movie-Trailers

Happy Saturday everyone!  Seems you all liked the trailer wrap up I did last week so I’m back with another one.  This time it’s a Superhero themed Trailer Wrap!  Why scour the web looking for them when I put them all in a nice pretty package?  Ok, so really at the moment there’s only four superhero movies that even have trailers.  There’s a few in production but we don’t have trailers on those yet.  But you can bet when we do, I’ll post them!  Now, onward and upward!

X-Men: First Class:

I was really hesitant about them doing yet another X-Men film.  I hated the third and Wolverine: Origins wasn’t great either.  I saw the early pictures they released and those still weren’t enough to convince me.  I will say that they did a good job with the trailer because now, I’m interested.  There’s a load of people in this film and I hope it doesn’t suffer from character overload.  However, I have faith because it was written by Bryan Singer and is directed by Matthew Vaughn.  Surely it’s going to be good right?

Thor:

Now I’ll be honest and say I don’t really know much about Thor, his origins, or how he fits into the Avengers.  I know he has a hammer.  I’m ashamed to admit that I may need an education here, but we all have to start somewhere right.  I have a friend that is cringing right now because I’m admitting to all of this.  You know who you are.  This is a great trailer and I’m super excited for this film.  When I first heard about Chris Hemsworth being cast as Thor all I could think of was “Pa Kirk? Weird.”  Then I got a good look at him.  Ok umm….WOW! He looks awesome.  And huge.  And awesomely huge!

Captain America:

This was another film where I was kind of surprised at the casting choice.  I do like Chris Evans though and even actually kind of enjoyed Fantastic Four in all of its awful glory.  I liked him in Push and Street Kings as well.  The drama that went down with the casting rumors though was just silly and I remember being thankful when they finally made up their minds.  Captain America looks like it’s going to be pretty darned good and he looks awesome in the costume.  He really beefed up as well.  But I guess if you’re a superhero, you kind of have to yeah?

Green Lantern:

Yet another character that I really don’t know squat about.  I know I like Ryan Reynolds.  He’s already been a comic book character with his role in Wolverine: Origins so he’s adding another notch to his superhero belt.  At least this character will be likable.   The suit in this is done by CGI which is kind of weird but I get that they were going for a certain look.  So far the trailers I’ve seen look to be decent and I’ll definitely go see it.   Will you?

That’s it for this week everyone.  I’m going to have to get a comic fan’s perspective on these films when they finally come out since I’ll be reviewing them strictly from a film point of view.  I don’t have the knowledge of the comics to compare to, but I know just the person.  Next week I’ve got some stuff coming up in regards to the new Wonder Woman series and will hopefully have a review or two.  Which of the above films are you most excited for?

  1. Great wrap-up…I am a little leary about the Captain America film though…Chris doesn’t seem heroic enough…still, we all need to give the movie a chance, right? What’s the worse that could happen? We could have another X-Men 3, right? *shudders*

Oh the thought of another X-Men 3 make me sick. I loved the 1st & 2nd but hated the 3rd.
I do like Chris Evans but don’t know enough about Captain America to say either way. Fingers crossed it will be good. Thanks so much for reading & commenting!

    xmen trailer looks sick!

  3. Alberto I says:

I really hope Xmen is going to be good. Bryan Singer hasn’t really let me down on the X-men films. I don’t think he wrote the third one which I agree with you was just bad. I actually want to see Thor and then the Avenger movie.

I hope the new X-Men is good too. I need something to wash away the stink of Brett Ratner’s mess. Thor looks pretty good and I’m looking forward to a full trailer for Captain America. Thanks for reading & commenting!
