NBC Passes on Ron Moore’s 17th Precinct

17thPrecinct Trio

Oh NBC!  I just posted a couple of hours ago how I was still hoping to hear word on Ron Moore’s new show 17th Precinct.  Now is the time of year the networks review all existing, and upcoming shows to make a decision on what will and won’t be airing in the fall.

If you remember my excited posts about 17th Precinct, it was going to be a bit of a reunion of Battlestar Galactica cast members.  Apollo, Six and Baltar were all set to join this potentially awesome show.

Well, Tricia Helfer confirmed on her Twitter feed that NBC has passed on the show.  Fox cancels Human Target and now NBC passes on this.  I’m now sad.  Maybe another network will pick it up down the line.  Or maybe a whole different show will bring this awesome cast back together.  Fingers crossed.

OMG that totally reminds me, I was watching Eureka reruns a couple of weeks ago, and there was 1 episode that I had seen before I did my BSG marathon, but this was the first time I’d seen it since, and I TOTALLY caught a BSG reference that made me smile…In the ep, some main characters were having hallucinations, and some one asked Baltar’s character who he was seeing and he didn’t want to admit what he was seeing, so he said “A leggy blond in a red dress”…I just started laughing, it makes me wonder now in all my syfy shows with these repeat actors how much I have missed!

That’s classic! I just started watching Eureka from the beginning. I’m only a few episodes in but so far I like it. I love little homages like that. I’m sure there have been some in shows I’ve missed.
