Everything about Game of Thrones is epic.  The source material, the characters, the relationships and of course, the television series.  One of the heaviest burdens of bringing the story to the screen was making sure that this epic landscape that  George R.R. Martin created not only translated to film, but also looked amazing.   I can only imagine that it was a daunting task for the visual effects team to get it right.

This video shows several examples of what an amazing job they’ve done.  Showing scenes as they were shot, then again once the visuals were in place.  It’s amazing what a difference some wire frame and a green screen can make.  If you aren’t caught up on the show, be warned…..there be spoilers here.  Nothing major, but wanted to throw that out there just in case.  Thanks to Badass Digest for posting this.
