And by “action heroes” I’m talking about the guys who do this sort of thing for a living.  Act of Valor is a fictional story about the lives and missions carried out by Navy SEALs.  The actors in this film are ACTUAL ACTIVE DUTY SEAL TEAM MEMBERS.  Yes, I had to put that in caps.

So real SEALs, doing real SEAL stuff, in a movie that is based on real SEAL missions, but it’s a work of fiction.  I’m so there.  This film, even though the story is fiction, looks to give us a glimpse in to what these guys do.  My only question is, aren’t these fellas supposed to remain anonymous?  I could be wrong.  I’ll have to ask Roomie about that since he’s actually in the Navy.

Another thing that this trailer does is show some of the really kick ass gadgets these guys get to use.  Being the gadget hound that I am, I want them.  Especially that little airplane thingy.  Of course I’d have to store all of this stuff in my hidden wall safe that I’m bound and determined to get one of these days.

***UPDATE***

I just talked to Roomie about the teams needing to stay anonymous.  Apparently only SEAL Team 6 needs to since they are the covert team.  There is a level of anonymity needed but the other teams aren’t quite so far off the grid.
