Cinemax Renews Strike Back for Season 3
Well my fellow Strikers….the news we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. Cinemax has renewed the high-octane Strike Back for a third season that will premier in 2013. This is awesome news and I can’t tell you how excited I am. I really didn’t have any doubts, but now that it’s been made official, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
While details are scant, Cinemax will again produce the show along with partners Left Bank and Sky. Executive producer Andy Harris, series producer Michael Casey, director Michael Bassett, and writers Simon Burke, James Dormer and Richard Zajdlic will all be returning to work on the show. What isn’t being made public yet is the cast. Surely we’ll get more information on that end once the season concludes on Friday October 12th.
All I can say is I really hope that both Phillip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton will be back. I can’t imagine this show without them, but like I’ve said in my recaps, this show pulls no punches and makes no apologies for killing off main characters. Fingers crossed both of them return.
Cinemax even confirmed the news on their Twitter feed by posting this photo:
What do you say Strikers? Are you as happy as I am? Be sure to watch Strike Back on Friday!
