Being Human Recap Episode 3.07 – One Is Silver, and the Other Pagan
Last week the episode ended with Aidan bleeding from the eyes because Erin poisoned his clean blood stash with her own werewolf blood. She was waiting for Liam to show up to finish Aidan off, but ended up hovering over him holding a wooden stake. Did she honestly think she could go toe to toe with a 200+ year old vampire? She’s been a werewolf for like, two minutes. Anyway, the end of the episode was filled with tension because Aidan was all jacked up, Liam was headed that way, but so was Josh.
This whole Erin/Aidan thing is going to become a Josh/Nora thing pretty quickly since Nora doesn’t trust Aidan anymore, but Josh still does. I think Nora is totally overreacting if I’m being honest here. It’s definitely doing to be a sticky situation for all involved.
Aidan
Speaking of Aidan, he’s still in the pickle that last week left him in. Erin is still hovering with the wooden stake, while Aidan tries to crawl away. Liam is headed to the house, but sees Josh and has to bail. Just before Josh enters, Aidan gets his footing so to speak and kicks Erin into the wall, knocking her unconscious. Josh is mortified at the scene in front of him.
Later on, once he’s all cleaned up, Aidan goes to the hospital to check on Erin. Nora’s pissed and tells him that if Erin doesn’t make it, he’ll have to deal with her. Oooooohhhhh….scared of that (not really). Aidan then heads down to visit Kenny, who seems to have made another friend named Blake. Blake is female, a ginger and a vampire who has agreed to turn Kenny into a vampire when he turns 18. Aidan warns her off of Kenny, but she doesn’t listen.
When Aidan visits Kenny again later on, he’s lethargic and tells Aidan to leave. Aidan tracks down Blake and reads her the riot act for taking too much blood. Blake tries to get back to Kenny’s room again, but Aidan has alerted security and they escort her away. Meanwhile, Aidan has a heart to heart with Kenny about what it means to be a vampire, but Kenny sees it as his only way out of his bubble.
When Blake comes back AGAIN, Aidan tells her that she’s been cut off and that he has agreed to be Kenny’s maker, even though he doesn’t want to do it. He tells her that he’s doing it to make sure Kenny is safe.
Not only does Aidan have to deal with the Kenny drama, but Nora’s friend Kat stops by the house looking for Nora because she’s having plumbing issues in Nora’s apartment. Aidan, being the nice guy he is, offers to help and the two manage to fix the problem. Later on at the hospital, Kat shows up bearing goodies for Nora, knowing she’s there for a friend. Kat runs into Aidan, and when Nora spies the two of them together, her hackles rise. Not knowing when to leave well enough alone, Aidan shows up on Kat’s doorstep later that night and asks her out on date….which she accepts. Nora is going to go ballistic.
Josh and Nora
Once Erin is in the hospital, Josh and Nora spend all their time there sitting at her bedside. Nora is convinced that Aidan meant to hurt her, but Josh pieces together that Erin must have infected the blood supply since he’s seen Aidan affected by werewolf blood before. He mentions it to Nora, but she won’t listen. Instead she tells Josh that she often wonders who Josh would choose if he had to: her or Aidan. I have to say, Nora is being a bit of a bitch these days and I really hope that changes.
Liam shows up at the hospital, but Josh calls him out on the carpet for having Erin do his dirty work. Josh tells him to leave, which surprisingly he does. In a more lighthearted moment, Josh reconnects with his sister, Emily, who shows up because she was supposed to have lunch with Nora. Emily comes to the hospital to hang out with Josh and says that she knows Josh wants to propose to Nora. She gives him their grandmother’s wedding ring; the one he had given to Julia and tells him that she knew he’d want to give it to Nora. In a sweet little moment later on, Josh tells Nora that she’s his person and he wants to be with her always.
Meanwhile, while Nora and Josh share their tender moment, Liam sneaks into the hospital to see Erin. He tells her that what she’s doing is for the good of the pack and proceeds to smother her with a pillow, killing her. This will no doubt make it seem like she died from her injuries, which in turn will be pinned on Aidan. As Nora and Josh rush to Erin’s room, Aidan shows up but Josh gives him a look that tells Aidan everything he needs to know.
Sally
Now that Sally can reconnect with people from her past, the first person she seeks out is Bridget, her pre-death best friend and ex-fiance’s former flame. Bridget is sporting a horrific black wig and is now part of a Wicca group. She tells Sally how when she’s in the circle, she’s at peace and how this is a way of life for her. Bridget convinces Sally to come to her group meeting and once there, Sally sees what actually is going on. As the high priestess summons the spirit of a member’s deceased husband, two ghosts show up and proceed to have a good time with the ladies in the group. One of them even possesses Bridget. Sally forces them out, then disperses one of them, threatening to do the same with the other.
Once everything is said and done, Sally has to break the news to Bridget that she’s not at peace, she’s being possessed and because of this, will eventually go insane. Sally also tells her that Bridget saved her when she was a ghost and gives her the necklace that Zoey gave to Sally that will ward off the spirits. Sally tells Bridget to go live her life, be happy and to forget all about her.
Later that night, once Sally is home, she begins to brush out her hair only to find that she’s losing clumps at a time. She looks at her scalp and sees that there are bloody patches in place of where the hair should be. Like any sane person would, she freaks out and screams for Josh.
I’m thinking that Sally is going to have to pay Donna another visit. That whole getting her body back thing is turning out to be way more trouble than it’s worth. There is always fine print and it seems that they didn’t read it when they made the deal with the witch. Things at the house are going to get super nasty now that Erin is dead and Nora is going to blame Aidan. By the looks of the previews, it seems that she may find out that Liam is the bad guy sooner than later. At least, I hope that’s what happens.
