Everyone has that song on their iPod that they pray to God no one else sees or hears. If your iPod is the source of music at a party, you hover by it to make sure you can skip it if it comes up in the shuffle because you don’t want to be ridiculed for it. It’s the same thing with movies. Everyone has their guilty pleasures and no one wants to admit to them. Well I am. I’ve not only listed one….but SEVEN!
Another Saturday night, another SyFy original movie. This past weekend it was Age of the Dragons starring Danny Glover and Vinnie Jones. One has to wonder how these guys get roped into these kinds of films, but sometimes it’s best not to ask. This is the fourth Homage to Fromage column, and I have to admit, this was the worst one so far.
Captain America is going to top the news and most likely the box office this weekend. Fan boys and girls all over have been anticipating his arrival at their local cinema and news from Comic-Con will likely flood the internet, Facebook and Twitter. SyFy, being the geniuses that they are, anticipated the need for all things Cap and scheduled a movie marathon to air on Friday.
Ahhhh yes. Today is the dreaded (or celebrated) April Fool’s Day. One has to be ultra careful on this day due to what one of my Twitter buddies called: Shenanigans and Buffoonery. You just don’t know what’s real and what’s fake. Ok, some things are pretty obvious in their fake-ness but it’s still pretty funny (or heartbreaking) to see.
