Being Human Episode 2.13 - Sam Witwer Banner

Well, we have reached the end of the second season and it was a bit of a doozy.  The writers went for the long game this season by setting up a slow burn of a story arch (and at times a tad boring) that culminated in the last few episodes, bringing it all to a boiling point.  Each character has gone through their own drama, trauma and shifts.  While doing so, they’ve managed to stay true to their core personality, for the most part.  Sally dealt with her split personality for a spell, but managed to come back to the compassionate Sally that we all know and love.  Aidan sought out and found that freedom wasn’t exactly what he planned for.  After having to play a role he didn’t like, he still tried to hold on to the illusion of what it means to be free and normal.  Josh went through waves of happiness and grief, acceptance and denial, and being on both ends of hurt, all while trying to keep the monster at bay.

All of that being said, the finale didn’t have the impact that the last two episodes did.  I was really hoping things would go out with a bang and we would be left with a brutal cliffhanger, but to be honest, I wasn’t really surprised at how things ended.  I’m not saying it was bad….it just wasn’t as mind-blowing as I was hoping.
