Shakespeare, comedies, charming feel-good, more war, and a big time WTF is all included in this week’s Trailer Wrap. In theaters this weekend is Final Destination 43, which chances are good that I’ll see it. Until I do and get my review written for it, check out the latest trailers from this past week.
I know that I’m committing an act of film sacrilege when I say this, but I’ve never seen the original Planet of the Apes films. I’ve seen bits and pieces over the years, but that’s about it. I did see the Tim Burton version but that’s not saying much. To say that I was hesitant to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes would be an understatement. Not having any real knowledge of the series as a whole, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I put it all aside however and went anyway. What I found was a film that both surprised and upset me.
Yes, I know I’m a bit behind the 8-ball with this film. Unfortunately RED came out while I was in the midst of an unavoidable theater sabbatical so I missed it. Lucky for me there’s this handy little invention (that I wished I created but that’s for another post) called Redbox that had it and I was able to watch it yesterday.
