I still have yet to make it to Comic-Con and while it normally doesn’t bug me that I haven’t ever gone, it sort of did this year.  The sheer size of the event is enough to turn me off of it because quite frankly, I’m not sure I could deal with the hordes upon hordes of people who migrate to San Diego for 4 days every July.  Yet each year I do have that “oh man, I should really try to go next year” feeling.  This year I had the “DAMN IT WHY DIDN’T I TRY TO GO!!!!!!” feeling.  If I’m being completely honest, I would have gone for one panel.  That’s it…just one.  The Lost Girl panel.

When I first started Reel Goddess I looked upon it as a medium for me to watch older films that I hadn’t previously seen so that I could write about them.  Once I started getting into the habit of writing everyday I thought of other ways I utilize the site in regards to film.  Then I came up with the brilliant…and I mean utterly brilliant idea of watching all three versions of The Punisher films.   I had previously seen the first and second iterations, so I already knew what I was getting myself into.  I have no idea why I chose this particular series.  I suppose you could call it a form of self punishment.

You know that feeling you get when you’re a kid and you go to Disneyland for the first time? For adults I’d equate it to maybe going to Las Vegas for the first time.  You arrive at your destination with vague expectations, but once you see it with your own eyes you become a bit overwhelmed and you’re left somewhat speechless.  Well that just happened to me on Saturday when I attended my very first WonderCon.
