Yes I know….it’s been a while since the Goodie Wrap has seen the light of day.  But don’t fret, it’s not gone, but it’s just been on the back burner.  So what can I tell you…..news of Curiosity’s landing on Mars took center stage earlier this week which is really cool.  Then the Mohawk Guy took center stage which is also pretty cool.  Joss Whedon confirmed he’ll be back to write and direct the next Avengers which probably has the entire fan base breathing a sigh of relief.  I know I did.  Daniel Day Lewis get his Lincoln on and Sam Elliot turned 68.  Overall it’s been a busy week.  Time to wind it down don’t you think?

Phew!  Another week is in the books.  Well, almost anyway.  I know that I’m ready for the weekend, how about you?  This week didn’t offer up anything incredible.  Unless you count that new International Avengers trailer that apparently has a bunch of stuff we haven’t seen yet.  I haven’t watched it due to the fact that I really don’t want to see new footage.  I want to be surprised when I see the movie.  There was however that brutal episode of The Walking Dead last Sunday, that was a plus.  Sunday’s finale should leave us all a bit shocked I’m sure.  Until then, enjoy this week’s offerings.

Another week is in the books folks.  This past week was devoted to the Oscars and who won, who didn’t and who should have.  To be honest I DVR’d it so I could skip commercials and watched the whole show in about 30 minutes.  Well almost the whole show.  Of course it ran long and my DVR cut off right after the incredibly surprising (not) Meryl Streep win so I didn’t get to see the Best Picture award.  Not that I needed to.  We also got a peek at the Avengers trailer which looks pretty cool.  But now it’s Friday….and you know what that means.

So the scuttlebutt this week was all about the Oscars.  Who got snubbed, who didn’t and who deserves what.  I hate to admit that I’ve been a bit of a slacker this year and haven’t seen a lot of what was nominated.  It doesn’t help that I live in a city that doesn’t get the indie films or lesser known titles, but hey, that’s what Redbox is for right?  Anyhoo….enough about all that.  It’s Friday, Friday gotta get down on Friday….

Well the Christmas season has officially started.  If you’re anything like me you’ll avoid going to the mall or any store for that matter like the plague.  So I’m going to help you out.  Over the next few weeks, leading up to Christmas, the Goodie Wrap will feature all sorts of little things like stocking stuffers, to big whammy gifts.  I’ll throw in some other little nuggets as well as I see them.  I can’t guarantee that the videos will be Christmas related however.  Like this week’s video.  It’s wrong.  But so funny.

We’re on the countdown to Thanksgiving folks and with that, the Goodie Wrap will be taking a break next week in order to enjoy the holiday weekend.  This week’s wrap is more of a wrap-let but there are some things worth sharing.  After Thanksgiving it’ll be back so don’t fret.  Now that all of my shows are going on their winter hiatus, I’ll have plenty of time to scour the web to find more good stuff for you.  And speaking of those winter finales…..what a crock.  As if summer finale cliffhangers weren’t bad enough, we have to have them in the winter too?  But I digress….

It’s been a crazy week what with scouring the web for all of the Comic-Con stuff from last weekend, reminiscing about that dreadful (even though I watched it) 21 Jump Street spin-off show Booker, and realizing that Billy Idol lost his punk(ish)-scene cred when he released Hot in the City.  Then my nostalgia cup runneth over yesterday when I was inspired to listen to Duran Duran.  Yes, the band so nice they named it twice mysteriously appeared on my Spotify.  And speaking of Spotify….doesn’t that app rock?  But enough about all that….on to the Goodie Wrap.
