Being Human - Episode 2.07 Sam Huntington_Sam Witwer

Last week I complained about how the trio weren’t getting very much screen time together and how the separate story-lines were overtaking the main premise of the show.  The three don’t share very many scenes together this week either, and Sally’s story-line stands apart from Josh and Aidan, but at least they left the whole vampire hierarchy sub-plot out of it.  Meaning…no Suren this week.

This episode starts with Aidan running through the forest making his way to Atlee, the vampire who came to Boston with Hagemen and has been asking questions about Hagemen’s disappearance.  It seems the two were out looking for / running from the wolves.  One of which approaches Aidan and he seems to know it was Nora.  Next thing we see is Nora and Josh waking up in the forest naked, covered in blood and dirt.  Josh tries to remember what happened, while Nora sits there looking a tad guilty.

So here we are at the season finale.  I can’t believe it’s been 13 weeks already.  But all good things must come to an end right?  At least this one is temporary and we’ll get to see our trio continue on in the form of a second season.  Last week we left off with Sally’s door appearing and as she deciding on what to do Bishop popped by and staked Aidan.  Where are they going to leave us at the end of this season? Read on to find out.

One of the great things about watching a new show that’s actually good is seeing the character development.  When you’re dealing with a story that concerns monsters there’s a fine line between quality and campy.  This show could easily stumble across that line into the campy realm but nine weeks in, the quality really stands out.  The writers are doing a spectacular job with each of the three characters showing their different sides.

Being Human Recap: Episode 1.06 – It Takes Two to Make a Thing Go Wrong

I know I’ve said it before, but I’m really loving this show.  Each episode shows the relationships become more and more comfortable and how they are becoming closer.  I find the best parts are those in normal situations.  Scenes at the house with the three of them normally produce the laughter but also show a lot of heart.  The gore and stuff concerning each of their individual issues is really secondary to me.  Let’s get on with this weeks wrap up.

Welcome back to another week of Being Human.  This week was chock full of good stuff.  Lots of angst, lots of growling and fighting…oh and a healthy amount of blood.  There’s also a whole lot of truth that comes out.  I’m doing things a tad different this week.  The recap will be more of a play by play instead.  I’m testing the waters on this format so bear with me.  So let us not delay… Continue reading “Being Human Recap: Episode 1.05 – The End of the World as We Knew It” »
