It’s kind of hard to believe that SyFy (or Sci-Fi as it used to be known) has been around for 20 years already. All that does is make me feel old. Creaky bones, age and name changes aside, SyFy plan on celebrating their platinum anniversary in style by airing a two hour special on Monday December 10th at 9pm EST/PST. Actors, directors, writers and producers will all rehash their favorite memories which I’m hoping means we’ll get some behind the scenes footage. Check out the official press release below.
Oh NBC! I just posted a couple of hours ago how I was still hoping to hear word on Ron Moore’s new show 17th Precinct. Now is the time of year the networks review all existing, and upcoming shows to make a decision on what will and won’t be airing in the fall.
I decided when I started this site that I didn’t want to do a lot of news posts. There are so many other sites out there that focus on the latest happenings in film and television and I don’t want to just rehash stories that have been done to death. However…I will make the occasional exception when something really gets my blood pumping.
So I was hanging out online last night, you know, like I do, and came across this most amazing chocolate work of art and knew I just had to share it. Autumn over at GeekSix.com posted a bit about it. Her friend made this chocolate representation of the Battlestar Galactica and it. is. amazing. I want it. I need it. I wonder if he could fill it with peanut butter? That would be even better.

The British have invaded again. This time, the invasion occurred in my living room. I’ve become such a sucker for BBC America. I realized one day that it was getting to the point where I was watching more on BBC America than most of the other networks. Sometimes I think they must use some type of subliminal messaging and I have become one of their minions.
