Considering In Time came from the mind of Andrew Niccol, the man behind the films Gattaca, S1m0ne and The Truman Show, it’s no coincidence that his new film, In Time, touches on topics such as socio-economic status, living versus existing and how a society falls apart when the balance is upset. It sounds like heavy subject matter, but did In Time achieve all it set out to? Will it appeal to those looking for a science fiction film that explores these topics, or does it head in the other direction to appeal to the those looking for a science-fiction-y action-ish film?
