Set about ten years after the events of Clash of the Titans, Wrath picks up with demigod Perseus (Sam Worthington), having shunned his demigod status and choosing to live a normal life, working as a fisherman and raising his son, Helius.  There isn’t much mention of Io, his wife, aside from the fact that she died, but Perseus trudges on trying to raise his son away from the shadow of the gods.

Perseus gets a visit from his father Zeus (Liam Neeson), who tells him that because mortals have stopped praying to the gods, they’re losing their power.  The lack of belief is creating a chain reaction, which results in the weakening of Tartarus, the underground / underworld prison where the gods sent the titans.  It’s kind of like Azkaban, but without the Dementors.  Anyway, Zeus asks for Persues’ help, which he refuses.  Shortly after, Zeus is captured by his brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes), and his other son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez) so that they can transfer Zeus’ power to resurrect Kronos, father to Zeus, Hades and Poseidon.  With me so far?

So every Saturday night when I crawl into bed to say hello to Klaus for the night (if you’re a fan of Dennis Leary’s stand up, you’ll get that reference), I normally watch The Graham Norton Show before crashing.  Now, mind you, I don’t watch ANY other talk show.  Not Dave, not Conan, and certainly not Jay, but I watch Graham every single week.  Why?  He makes me laugh and I like the laid back atmosphere of his show.

Well this week has been a bit better in the trailer department thank goodness.  We may be officially out of the summer movie season, but the holiday movie season is quickly approaching.  Then that’s followed by the time of year that is normally reserved for cast-offs.  Anyhoo…..check out the trailers for this week and let me know what you think.

Does the rain and generally crappy weather affect anyone else or is it just me?  This whole week has been a struggle to get things done.  I feel like my life bar is blinking red and is almost depleted.  Well thankfully it’s Friday and that fact alone helps my energy level.  The one good thing about it is: bad weather = good movie watching weather.  That’s perfect considering I have three movies to catch up on! I’ve become a real sucker for Liam Neeson.  I’ve always liked him, but now it seems that I really really like him.  The previews for Unknown did have that Taken vibe to them and I won’t deny that I was kind of hoping for something similar.  What I got was different, but in all honesty, I didn’t expect it to be the same.  It had Liam and I knew at some point he’d be handling a gun.  Enough said.
