I absolutely love Nora and expressed how happy I was when she became a series regular.  I still do love her, but oh my God, she is kicking my ass with her holier than thou attitude toward Aidan.  Does she not remember she killed Brynn?  Anyway, I get that she’s grieving and whatnot right now since Erin bit the dust so I’ll let it slide.  For now.  Anyway, I think the next few episodes are going to be a bit of an eye opener for her.  At first I was worried that it would put a strain on Josh’s relationship with Aidan, but that doesn’t seem to be the case thank goodness.  What did happen however, is one of my predictions came true in a round about sort of way.  We’ll get to that in a minute.

This season is in the home stretch and with only five episodes left, the shit is really going to hit the fan.  I haven’t seen any word on a fourth season just yet and I always get worried when SyFy waits to announce whether a series has been renewed or not.  The longer they wait, the more nervous I get.  This series likes to end with some sort of cliffhanger and I’m pretty sure they’ll do the same with the end of the third season.  Fingers crossed that if they do, we’ll get that fourth season to see what happens next.

Being Human Recap Episode 3.07 – One Is Silver, and the Other Pagan

Being Human Episode 3.07 - Sam Witwer

Last week the episode ended with Aidan bleeding from the eyes because Erin poisoned his clean blood stash with her own werewolf blood.  She was waiting for Liam to show up to finish Aidan off, but ended up hovering over him holding a wooden stake.  Did she honestly think she could go toe to toe with a 200+ year old vampire?  She’s been a werewolf for like, two minutes.  Anyway, the end of the episode was filled with tension because Aidan was all jacked up, Liam was headed that way, but so was Josh.

This whole Erin/Aidan thing is going to become a Josh/Nora thing pretty quickly since Nora doesn’t trust Aidan anymore, but Josh still does.  I think Nora is totally overreacting if I’m being honest here.  It’s definitely doing to be a sticky situation for all involved.

Being Human Recap Episode 3.06 – What’s Blood Got To Do With It

Being Human Episode 3.06 - Meaghan Rath_Sam Huntington

Previously….on Being Human…Nora is worried about Aidan and the fact that he isn’t feeding.  That is until Aidan informs Josh and Nora about how he’s been taking a bit of blood from Kenny, the bubble boy.  Nora’s concerned that Aidan is going to fall off the wagon and will end up draining anyone that crosses his path.  Aidan is doing his best to keep his vampire tendencies in check, but is being tormented by the ghosts of two young women he killed.  This is turn makes his vampire traits surface, in front of Kenny.  Liam wants Nora and Josh to kill Aidan, but Josh mans up and tells Liam it’s not happening.  Later on, Liam shows up on their doorstep with Erin in tow.

Sally had to fend off Max’s overprotective mother (who’s a ghost) after Sally and Max did the deed.  However, Max’s mom got her two cents in when she used Sally as a meat suit and broke things off with Max.  Sally found out what happened and made amends with Max, who agreed to give their budding relationship another go.

So, to say things are getting messy would be a bit of an understatement.  This show has always gotten messier as the season progresses, and at this point they’re right on schedule.  So far I am happier with this season than I was last season.  This latest episode doesn’t have very much Josh, and no Nora at all, which was a bit of a bummer.  Regardless, there were some interesting tidbits to be had.

Being Human Season 3 Premiere Gets a Date

Being Human Cast Season 2

It feels like eons have passed since the second season finale of SyFy’s Being Human.  Even though the third season doesn’t kick off for another couple of months, it’ll be here before we know it.  Time flies around the holidays and thankfully, shortly afterwards, we’ll get to find out just what’s happening with our supernatural trio.

SyFy posted a press release stating that the third season will kick off on Monday January 14th, as part of their “Powerful Mondays” line up.  Last season ended with Suren getting staked by her mother, Aidan was sent to ground (literally) for trying to take Mother down, Sally’s lost in limbo, and Josh was set on killing his maker, Ray, but Nora showed up right at the end.  Shots were fired but we have no clue by who.

Being Human Recap: Episode 2.06 – Mama Said There’d Be Decades Like These

Being Human Ep. 2.06 - Sam Huntington Banner

This puts the second season at the half way point and looking back, there doesn’t seem to be very much forward momentum.  Things have happenedsure, but I feel like the story was progressing much quicker last season.  Right now, the house is one gigantic hot mess.  Aidan especially.  Josh is having to make some tough decisions and Sally realizes that her mortal life wasn’t what she thought it was.

So here we are at the season finale.  I can’t believe it’s been 13 weeks already.  But all good things must come to an end right?  At least this one is temporary and we’ll get to see our trio continue on in the form of a second season.  Last week we left off with Sally’s door appearing and as she deciding on what to do Bishop popped by and staked Aidan.  Where are they going to leave us at the end of this season? Read on to find out.

Being Human Recap: Episode 1.12 – You’re the One That I Haunt

Being Human

“She looks like The Grudge.”  That’s pretty much how this episode started with Josh describing what a very scary Sally looked like.  After being almost exorcised last week Sally came back with a vengeance this week.  Spending the first part of the episode looking, as Aidan put it, “a bit rough”, she healed up from the exorcism festivities by taking a bit of revenge on Danny as he was shaving.  With a straight razor.  Do people even really use those anymore?  Well apparently Danny does but I’m not sure he’s going to anymore.

Being Human Recap: Episode 1.01 – There Goes the Neighborhood Pt. 1

Being Human Cast

So last night was the premier of the American version of Being Human.  I’ll be honest.  When I heard that the SyFy was going to bring this show across the pond, I wasn’t very happy.  You might say I was even a bit harsh.  But, I decided to give the American version a chance and I went into the pilot with an open mind and heart.

If you don’t already know, Being Human is based on the British show of the same name and is about a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost who all share an apartment.  I didn’t get to see the entire first season of the original so I can’t say how the set up compares but the look of the show is pretty similar.  I watched the last part of the first season and all of the second, and from what I can tell the basic story structure is intact.
