This film looks to be the Frankenstein’s monster of action films. I almost hate to say that because I really like Gerard Butler (even though he has been stuck in a romcom rut), Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Dylan McDermott, Cole Hauser, Robert Forster and Ashley Judd. Quite the cast right? Well after watching the trailer this film looks to be a mash-up of several other action films. First, the official synopsis:
Writing a review for a film of this magnitude can be difficult. Being the third film in a trilogy, the final piece of the ongoing story and having two fantastic films before it makes it hard to NOT have expectations going in. With all of the clips, TV spots, photos, trailers, teasers and anything else the media has thrown around, we’ve been on Bat-overload for months now. I’ve done my best to stay away from all of it, opting instead, for the self-imposed blackout. I’m so glad I did because in doing so, it allowed the film to unfold for me in ways that it couldn’t have otherwise.
July 20th is getting closer and closer, which means that the third and final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman saga will come to a close. The third trailer was just released and after watching it three times, I’m still not quite sure how I feel about it. I’m probably one of the few who prefers Batman Begins, but I did love The Dark Knight. To give an example of how much I’m looking forward to TDKR, I drove 90 minutes to see Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol on IMAX just so I could see the six minutes of TDKR footage that was attached. It was worth it even if I couldn’t understand what the hell Bane was saying. But that’s all besides the point.
Finally! We finally get to see a peek at one of the most anticipated films of 2012. There was a teaser released back in July that didn’t show much aside from Commissioner Gordon talking to someone while laying in a hospital bed. There haven’t even really been any details on the synopsis.
Warner Brothers seems hell-bent on plucking the heartstrings of audiences everywhere with their latest family film, Dolphin Tale. I’m a natural cynic who hates to cry so how did this film affect me? Was I reduced to a blubbering mess or did my cast iron heart resist its adorable story? Read on to find out.
Happy Saturday once again my people. It’s a bit of a short trailer wrap today as there wasn’t a mess of trailers this week. I know there are loads of clips and featurettes and whatnot, but I like to stick with just the trailers. Some of that other stuff just give away way too much of the film and that’s a big downer. So the first trailer I have for you I know you’ve been waiting for….so here it is!
Happy Friday everyone. It seems like we’re finally getting into some summer weather so I won’t keep you long. It’s a short but sweet Goodie Wrap today. Off we go!
Yes, I know I’m a bit behind the 8-ball with this film. Unfortunately RED came out while I was in the midst of an unavoidable theater sabbatical so I missed it. Lucky for me there’s this handy little invention (that I wished I created but that’s for another post) called Redbox that had it and I was able to watch it yesterday.
