Well this week has been a bit better in the trailer department thank goodness. We may be officially out of the summer movie season, but the holiday movie season is quickly approaching. Then that’s followed by the time of year that is normally reserved for cast-offs. Anyhoo…..check out the trailers for this week and let me know what you think.
Ok this is normally not the stuff I post on but I simple could not pass this up. EBay seller jack_mord apparently deals in antique, rare photographs among other things. He has one listing for a photo of Nic Cage from 1870!
There wasn’t a whole lot to work with this week so this one is short and sweet. There were loads of clips released for several upcoming films, but I try to stay away from those. Unless it’s a really really good one that I just can’t stay away from, but there weren’t any of those this week. Kill some time with this week’s trailers.
The theme this week seem to be trailers for films that are inspired by true events. Guess there’s a lot of that going around these days. People complain that there aren’t any fresh ideas in Hollywood anymore, so I guess they’re moving on to true events. They say the truth is stranger than fiction so maybe it’s a good move…..or movie.
I’m going to preface this by saying that I came THISCLOSE to seeing this film in the theater. I himmed and hawed about it and decided I would go, then something came up or I just changed my mind, I can’t quite recall, and I ended up not going. Silly me.
Another week is in the books folks. This weekend the movie industry is unleashing all sorts of goodness all over us unsuspecting townspeople. Today we see the release of Nicolas Cage’s new film Drive Angry 3D. Will I go see this movie? Signs point to yes. Will it be awesome? Reply hazy, try again later.
Not only do we have Drive Angry to look forward to, but the Oscars are on Sunday night. Love the Oscars, hate the commercials, bad song and dance routines, overly long acceptance speeches etc. I will skip the red carpet, because those people just bug me, but will watch the telecast. Hopefully Oscar did right this year. Until then….I have another goodie wrap to feed your hungry minds. Behold!
