Last year Cinemax pulled a fast one on me with their original series, Strike Back. Originally a British series, Cinemax has taken it on as its own and after a bloody, explosive, sex and death filled first (or second if you count the original British series) season, it’s finally back. And from what the new trailer shows, it’s back with a vengeance.
Well, as much as I hate to say it, we’ve reached the end of the season. With Latif in custody, Grant figured she’d take care of everyone’s problem and immediately went for a gun. Sinclair however stopped her from taking out Latif by putting himself in between the two reminding Grant that they need him to find the two bombers that are on the loose. Grant reluctantly agreed and lowered her weapon ordering Scott and Stonebridge to restrain him and Julia to dress his wound. I gather that was the result of the gunshot we heard last week after Stonebridge took off after him.
“Wow” is all I can say for the latest episode. It seems the writers have been saving the best for last and with the season finale fast approaching, I’m sure it’s going to be epic. Episode 9 starts off in the aftermath of the previous episode. Stonebridge is on the mend and spending some quality time (if you know what I mean) with his wife. Things between the two are tense and get even worse when she slaps him with an ultimatum. Section 20 or her and their unborn child. Just then his cell phone rings and she takes his answering it as his decision. Ouch!!
So last week ended with Scott, Stonebridge and the rest of the hostages being taken prisoner again by Hasani and the corrupt US troops. This week starts shortly after and shows the group in some ramshackle cell. Scott is cuddling with the blonde he started getting frisky with last week, the weasley politician is on the verge of a serious breakdown, and John Allen, the MI6 agent turned Latif informant seems calm, cool and collected.
